Teen Wolf: Days Go By
Feb. 18th, 2014 06:51 pmStiles wiggles the stick in front of the little fox, the faux tail swishing and little bell ringing at the end of it. The baby fox – Zoi – pounces and grabs the little ball and bell in it with her teeth, twisting playfully and patting at the faux tail with her front paws. It’s a little jarring to see her jump around playfully, her legs look too big for such a cute little thing, and they shoot her almost straight up, not like a cat with its forward lunges.
Stiles laughs and Zoi’s ears flicker towards him, rolling on her back to bat at the toy as Stiles moves it above her. The little fox gives a strange, throaty bark towards Stiles.
“Don’t you think this is kinda odd, given…you know, all that stuff last year.” Scott says, putting the last of the supplies Stiles needs for Zoi into the box prepared. Zoi looks towards Scott when he talks, nose twitching and eyes zeroing in on the box, mischief in her eyes. She takes a curious step forward and then Stiles clicks his tongue and rolls one of her favorite balls – the one that is just small enough to fit in her mouth but large enough that she won’t swallow it – into her line of vision and Zoi leaps at it, rolling with it and chewing, box forgotten. For now.
“Nah, like I was possessed by a kitsune but I was also rescued by one so…it’s more like I’m taking charge of my mental health and healing. Besides, just look at her, she’s so cute!” Stiles says, standing up and brushing his pants off. When he steps closer to look at the various things Scott has gathered, his hair brushes against the thin, almost transparent scar on his temple – the one that Scott knows starts with a puncture wound, long closed now, at the base of his neck and curls around his skull to end just above his left eyebrow. It’s hard to see except in the right lighting and Scott clears his throat and averts his gaze, trying to not think about it.
